Join us each month as we highlight San Diego Botanic Garden’s commitment to and support of current plant-based research.
This month we will feature Todd Michael, PhD, Research Professor in the Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology Laboratory at Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Dr. Michael will discuss the Harnessing Plant Initiative that seeks to address climate change with plants and utilizes samples of SDBG’s own Quercus suber, commonly known as the cork oak.
San Diego Botanic Garden operates according to current County and State guidelines. In accordance with guidance from the County of San Diego and the California Department of Public Health, SDBG encourages visitors to wear masks indoors.
